about the cause essay

I think the essay isnt my best work because i threw it out there pretty quickly. However it was a fairly easy peice to write because it has happend to me recently and it pisses me off that this has happend and the landlord didn't do anything about it. to me she is the one word that all women dont like to hear.... o well i think the essay is decent and thats probly the grade ill get, decent...

cause essay

From the time you start puberty to the time you graduate high school, all you can think about is moving out of and away from your parents. Well that is my case as well. All though I've had a few set backs but now i am 22 and I have my own apartment. The reason I have my own place now is because my mother sold my only home right out from under me, literally. I came home one night and she said pack your shit and get. She told me I had to be out and have a place in two weeks. Well I found an awesome place, or so I thought. The apartment that I found was awesome at first sight. However, after living there for about 3 months I have realized otherwise. There are a few problems such as a heating system that can't be controlled from my apartment, a kitchen area that is much less the desirable, and the apartment is haunted. This apartment building had bats living in it for about 2 months. Since this apartment building has this many problems I have decided to move out and find a new place.
I looked at two apartments in this same building and decided to take the second one. This one was on the fourth floor. This meant I had to carry all my belongings up 3 flights of stairs. When I had everything moved up there I realized that it was warm. However, I just thought it was because it was a hot day out. I soon discovered different. I don't know why the heat was on during the summer, except for the fact that the system was broken and ran all the time. Since heat rises and i am on the top floor my apartment got all the heat from the building. I could deal with that though because I had two box fans in the windows. The actually heater in my apartment is one of those old iron ones. Well this heater I could throw out the window. There have been many nights when this thing doesn’t turn off. I don't mean it throws off a little heat, this throws off heat like the sun. One night I woke up and heard a hissing sound like a snake. I opened the door to the living room and almost feel flat on my ass. The living room temperature was 95 degrees. The fucking heater made that snake like sound for over two hours. The two box fans in the windows were not helping cool the apparent down either. I just had to suffer with the above normal temperature for the night. I let my landlord know about the heater but she didn't do a damn thing because I had already given my notice to her that I was moving out. Well the heater was a pain in the ass for 3 more nights. The heater is just one of the many problems with this apartment.
I love to cook and since I do I like to have a nice organized kitchen. The kitchen in this apartment at first sight was very organized and spacious. I had everything in the place I wanted it to be to make my job in the kitchen just as smooth as it could be. After a couple weeks of a smooth operation, I woke up one morning and the refrigerator was off. I knew that the outlet blew a fuse. Well I called the landlord and she said the maintenance guy would be over later to fix it. I had an extinction cord that I ran from the refrigerator across the kitchen to the outlet that worked. Well that same morning I wanted toast and the outlet where the toaster was plugged into also blew a fuse. Not only do I have one extinction cord for the refrigerator I have another one for the toaster and microwave. Having extinction cords in my kitchen pisses me off because it makes my kitchen look like hell. I hate having to look at the floor when i am in the kitchen so I don’t step on or trip over the cords that shouldn't be there. A couple days past and the fuses were still not fixed so I called the landlord again. She said the maintenance guy had fixed them but I assured her that the outlets still were not working. After another week I just figured that the landlord really didn't give a shit about me or this apartment. At that point I started to look for a new apartment.
I think it should be a law for landlords to let you know what has happened to the apartment and to the building. I mean they should let you know if someone has died there. Well my landlord did not make me aware of this. About 18 years ago there was a young man about my age living in this same apartment. One day him and his brother tried to hook up the cable and tried to get on the roof. The man living in the apartment didn't make it up on the roof and fell four stories and died instantly. There also was another death at this apparent building. Around 8 years ago there was a shoot out with the police in front of the building and the police killed a man on the front steps. In my apartment there is a door that goes to the attic. This door is a small door and is always open about an inch. I have closed the door many times and friends have watched me close it and put things in front of the door so I shouldn't come open. However, the boxes are always moved and the door open. At night I can hear my kitchen draws opening and closing and also the door going to the deck opens and closes by itself. There have been other strange things happening in the apartment but you just wouldn't believe it. I almost forgot to mention the bats. That’s right, this apartment building has bats. Well, it did for 2 months anyway.
As I have looked for a new apartment I have been doing some background information. I have been looking at the heating systems and asking all sorts of questions about the buildings. I ask things like how old are the heating system, how the electrical is work in the apartment, and has anyone ever died here. Just questions that I need to know. I am hoping that my next place of my own will be better then my first bad apartment experience.

reaction to 13 goin on 25

thats a very true "story", high school was awesome for me as well. I think it sucks when things change, i just wish they could stay the way they used to be. Like in middle school everyone was friends with each other. But once highschool came people change, they think they gotta be mean to certain people to make themselves feel better maybe. who knows, anyway good post.

Intro Cause Essay

How would you like to have a heater that you can't control in your apartment? How about tripping over extinction cords in your kitchen to keep the refrigerator running? Maybe, you prefer to have bats flying around in your place. However, you could be one of those strange people that like waiting 10 minutes to get a small hint of hot water. Well, these are things I have been putting up with for the past 2 months. I can't wait for the end of September to come because, I am moving out. Hopefully, I will be moving into a place that is not like this one.

another weekly post

I work at the Garden Cafe on 175 exchange street in downtown Bangor. Everyday i work there is a learning experince. I think i learn more about life there then anybody could teach in school. All the different types of people that come in there from lawyers, judges, business men and women, bankers, teachers, construction workers, tourists and the Bangor Hydro workers. I listen to everything they have to say. You never know what will walk in the door next, Stephen king has eatin there, Olympia snow, Gov. Angus King. well ill talk more about the Cafe later.

Moving into a new appartment next saturday, so im pretty much homeless for a couple days, o well. I wish i had enough money to just leave everything at the old appartment and buy all new stuff for the new one, but thats just damn foolish and expensive.

reaction post to the red sox dreamer

Keep dreaming buddy. Thats the only way the redsox will win a ring. Don't get me wrong, im right with ya, but we gotta face the facts. The evil empire has a lot of money and George doesn't care how much it cost just to beat us. I don't think he cares if he loses to every other team just as long as he beats the red sox.

things

Growing up many people wish they could be movie stars, rock stars or pro sports players. Well my brother and i were among the pro sports players. Expecially becoming an NBA basketball player. My favorite player was Larry Bird, followed closely by Magic Johnson. Out in the driveway Aaron and i would imitate the championship game and we got to take the last second shot. I was always Bird and he was David Robinson. (his favorite player) Most of the time we missed the game winning shot, but those few times it went in, o' man wasn't it great. The Celtics are my number 1 team and ive always watched them. I regret never being able to go to the Boston Garden, and i still have yet to see a celtics game live. However, Bird is still my favorite player of all time. Recently i was given a gift, a perfect gift. My girlfriend gave me a Larry Bird jersey from his college days at Indiana State. It is light blue with white trim and lettering. The greatest number of all time, 33, is also in white. This jersey is just about my prized possession. I would be able to die happy if I get the chance to have Larry Legend sign the jersey. It has not been worn yet, and will never be worn.

This person is a little mesy. It seems that he is a procrastinator, can't pay his bills on time. He doesn't even know what days are what, just follows the crowd. He apparently likes to gamble shown by the cups from casinos out in Las Vegas and the 3 pillow chips. This young man likes to drink from his pride and joy of Captain Morgans. Enjoys partying and playing card games such as asshole or up and down the river. Well he needs to learn how to organize his things, isn't there a class on that.

My Appartment was awesome before i moved into it. However, since that day it has gone down hill and that is why im moving out. Last night, well actually about 3oclock this morning i woke up by a loud hissing sound like a snake. I figured it wasn't a snake but had no idea what it could be. I opened the bedroom door and almost fell over with the amount of heat that hit me. I then realized the heater had been on for a while. Well in my appartment i can't control the heat so i figured it would turn off in a little while. Well i was wrong. It kept going until 5 oclock. I would guess that it was about 90 in the appartment, with the windows open and big bos fans in them blowing cold air in. This is just another reason why i never signed the lease and i am moving out by the end of the month. I

Went to Bar Harbor yesturday, or as some tourists thing Mainers say it, Ba Haba. It was a a very nice day to go down there. It was around 75-80 degrees and probly 70 right on the ocean with the breeze. My girlfriend and I walked up and down the streets and looked at most of the little shops they have. I don't remember what the restaraunt's name was but it was ok. However, the service was horrible i thought. We were sat outside and i wanted to be inside and apparently it was a very big hassle to be put inside. Then our waitress took 15 minutes to take our drink order. It was another 10 minutes before we actually got those drinks. I wanted to walk out because of this poor service but she wouldn't let me. I just wont be going back there, again. Other than the meal i had a very enjoyable day in "Ba Haba".
